How do I book an Installation Service?
You can book our installation services by filling out our booking form online.
What happens next?
We will then send you an email to confirm your appointment that includes contact information for the cooker electrician who will install your cooker. The electrician will either phone you or you will phone him/her ahead of time to discuss the fixed priced installation.
What does the Installation Service cover?
Your installation service will cover the items stated on the website for your installation package.
Will the cooker electrician phone me?
Yes, but you can call him/her as well before your appointment. You will want to confirm the date and time of your appointment, make any changes as needed, and ask or answer any questions regarding the job.
Can I get in touch with the cooker electrician?
The confirmation email that we send you after you’ve placed the order will provide you with his/her contact information. You can phone him/her ahead of time with any questions you may have.
I received two contact numbers in the confirmation email you sent, why?
We usually have at least two very experienced cooker electricians covering a given area. In the email we send to confirm your order and appointment, the second electrician listed is another qualified electrician in your area. However, this particular cooker electrician will not have your contact information, so he will not be contacting you. We just want you to have this electrician’s contact information as a backup, just in case you are unable to get in touch with the first electrician.
What should I do if I do not hear back from the cooker electrician?
You should give the cooker electrician at least one business day to respond back to you. If you do not hear back via text message or phone call within this timeframe, this is when you should contact the other cooker electrician covering your area. Refer back to our confirmation email for his/her contact information.
What kind of qualifications do your cooker electricians have?
Our cooker electricians have all been certified to be competent by ELECSA, NAPIT, NICEIC, or STROMA, which are all part of a Competent Person Scheme (CPS) that the Government adopted in 2005. Make sure you ask your cooker electrician to show you his/her CPS card. If you want more details, those are available on his/her test certificate.
What should I do if my cooker electrician fails to show for the appointment?
There is always a chance that your electrician could be running late because they haven’t finished the previous job or they’re stuck in traffic. In this case, just send the electrician a text message to find out what time they expect to arrive. If you cannot reach him/her please phone us at, 0800 852 7396 so that we can sort everything out.
What form of payment does the cooker electrician accept?
When the job is completed to your satisfaction you will pay your cooker electrician using either cash or cheque and some of our electricians do accept credit card payments.
Will the cooker electrician give me a receipt?
Once the job is finished, you will receive a written receipt from your cooker electrician as well as a test certificate.
Is there anything I should do to prepare for the installation?
We will send you an email to remind you of the appointment 48 hours ahead of time. The electrician will arrive during the window of time for the appointment as scheduled. Just make sure that an adult is present at all times during the installation.
What if my installation turns out to be more complicated than what the order provided for?
You and your electrician will discuss what needs to be done and agree on the necessary changes. Your cooker electrician will give you a quote for the additional costs before starting the installation.
Can I cancel my installation?
If you want to cancel your cooker installation appointment less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time, you must contact the electrician to let him/her know. You will find their phone number in the emails we sent you to confirm and remind you of the appointment.
What happens if my electrician never shows up for the appointment?
Try phoning the electrician or sending a text message. If you hear nothing back within one business day, then phone us at 0800 852 7396. You do not owe us any money until your cooker has been installed to your satisfaction.
Where do I provide my feedback?
Once your cooker has been installed to your satisfaction, we will send you an email asking you to review the service that was provided. This review will act as your feedback regarding the service and as feedback on the cooker electrician who completed your job.
Why haven’t I received a call from my cooker electrician to schedule the work?
You can expect a call from your cooker electrician within an hour of when you booked online if you did that between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Your cooker electrician will confirm the appointment with you and discuss the job. If you do not receive their call, you can contact him/her using the phone number on their profile or in the emails you received from us.
