Do I need to buy my new cooker hood before booking?

No.

You can complete your booking before purchasing your new cooker hood.

All we need before arranging your installation is the model number of the cooker hood you intend to purchase.

Why do you need photographs of my existing cooker hood?

Your photographs help us check that you've selected the correct fixed-price replacement service.

They also allow us to identify any installation issues before your installer arrives, helping to avoid delays and misunderstandings.

If you don't have photographs available when booking, that's not a problem. You can send them to us afterwards.

What photographs do I need to send?

We normally ask for 2 or 3 clear photographs showing:

• Your existing cooker hood.
• The surrounding kitchen units.
• The area above the cooker hood.

These photographs allow us to review your installation before arranging your installer.

Do I need the model number of my existing cooker hood?

No.

We only need the model number of your new cooker hood so we can check that it's suitable for your installation.

You do not need to find the model number of your existing cooker hood.

How do I send my photographs if I don't have them when booking?

After you've completed your booking, we'll email you a secure link allowing you to upload your photographs later.

We'll review everything before arranging your installation.

What if I'm not sure which cooker hood replacement service I need?

Simply compare your existing cooker hood with the photographs shown in our fixed-price section.

If you're still unsure, contact us before booking and we'll be happy to help you choose the correct replacement service.

Do you visit my property before installation?

No.

Our service is operated entirely online.

By reviewing your kitchen photographs and your new cooker hood model before installation, we're able to arrange your replacement without needing a pre-installation visit.

This helps keep the process simple and allows us to offer our service throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

Who will replace my cooker hood?

Your cooker hood will be replaced by a suitably qualified installer arranged by us.

Before your installation takes place, we provide your installer with your kitchen photographs together with the details of your new cooker hood, allowing them to understand the job before arriving.

Will the installer contact me?

Yes.

Once we've reviewed your booking and arranged your installation, we'll send you an Installation Confirmation Email containing your installer's contact details.

Your installer will then contact you directly to arrange a convenient installation date and time.

What happens if the installer discovers an unexpected problem?

Most potential issues are identified during our photograph review.

If your installer discovers something unexpected during the installation, they'll explain the situation before carrying out any additional work.

No extra work will be completed without first discussing it with you.

Do you shorten decorative chimney columns?

Yes, where required.

Some decorative chimney cooker hoods require the upper chimney section shortening to achieve the manufacturer's recommended installation height.

If your photographs suggest this may be necessary, we'll let you know before arranging your installation.

Can you take away my old cooker hood?

Yes.

Simply add our Take Away Old Cooker Hood service when booking.

Your installer will remove and dispose of your old cooker hood after completing the installation.

Fixed Price: £25

Why do I pay a booking payment?

Your booking payment allows us to begin reviewing your booking, checking your new cooker hood model, reviewing your kitchen photographs and arranging your installer.

The remaining balance is paid directly to your installer once the work has been completed to your satisfaction.

Can I change my booking after I've submitted it?

Yes.

If we identify any issues during our review — for example, the wrong replacement service has been selected or additional work may be required — we'll contact you by phone or email before arranging your installation.

If you need to change your installation date after receiving your Installation Confirmation Email, simply contact your installer directly using the contact details provided.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes.

You may cancel your booking at any time.

If your booking has not yet been allocated to an installer, you'll receive a full refund of your booking payment.

If we've already arranged your installer and issued your Installation Confirmation Email, a booking and administration charge may apply.

What does your fixed price include?

Every fixed-price replacement includes:

• Removal of your existing cooker hood.
• Assembly of your new cooker hood (where required).
• Installation of your new cooker hood.
• Electrical connection to the existing supply.
• Connection to the existing ducting (where applicable).
• Testing the installation.
• Leaving the work area clean and tidy.

What isn't included in the fixed price?

Our fixed prices do not include:

• New electrical circuits.
• Moving electrical supplies.
• Alterations to kitchen cabinets.
• Installing new ducting routes.
• Building or decorating work.

If additional work is required, your installer will discuss this with you before proceeding.

Do you replace every type of cooker hood?

We replace the following cooker hood types:

• Visor
• Integrated
• 60cm Chimney
• 100cm Chimney
• Angled
• 60cm Island
• 100cm Island

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a replacement service for Canopy Cooker Hoods.
